Polish Women Basketball League Polish Basketball League Women (PLKK official abbreviation) is the highest in the hierarchy of a class of female basketball games in Poland, while being the highest level facility (and division level). Its winner is Polish Champion, while the weakest teams are relegated to the league. Responsible for its operation - established in 2001 - Polish Basketball League Women's Sp. z o. o. (PLKK Sp. O.o.). PLKK president since its inception is a former basketball referee, Wieslaw Zych. Since the names of the titular sponsors PLKK already functioned as Torell Basket Liga (TBL) and Sharp Torell Basket Liga (Stbl). March 10, 2006 PLKK Sp. z o. o. signed an agreement with House Motor "Germaz" Sp. Ltd., under which the company has been the patron of the league, while PLKK changed its name to Ford Germaz Basket Liga (FGBL), and later at Ford Germaz League (FGE).
